Hal London

Hal London is President of Key Appraisals, a multi-office appraisal firm which provides residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and special purpose valuations to the northern two-thirds of Illinois (and soon to northwest Indiana and southern Wisconsin as well). Mr. London has served as a qualified and court stipulated expert witness He has been a keynote speaker for many national corporations, including “Fortune 500” companies, lecturing on such diverse topics as valuation theory, mortgage fraud, and real estate investment strategies. In addition to being a founding member of the National Association of REALTORS® Appraisal Section, Mr. London is a real estate consultant, and as President of Key Realty, also a land developer and builder.

Mr. London, who has a Bachelor’s from University of Illinois and a Masters Degree from Loyola University, is thoroughly educated in appraisal-specific areas, including Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, Residential Appraisal Applications, The Appraisal of Condominiums, The Appraisal of Small Residential Apartment Buildings, The Preparation of the Narrative Appraisal Report, Commercial Investment Appraisals, Internal Rate of Return, Yield Capitalization, Fundamentals of Expert Testimony, Standards of Appraisal Ethics and Home Inspection, among others. He is one of only a handful of Appraisal Foundation Certified USPAP Instructors in Illinois.

In the State of Illinois, Hal London is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, Licensed Appraisal Instructor, and Licensed Real Estate Broker. He has provided numerous appraisals and feasibility studies to select residential, industrial, and commercial clients on a fee basis since 1975. Clients include lending institutions, attorneys at law, corporations, asset management groups, utility companies, hospitals, relocation companies, title insurance companies, municipalities, individuals, and centers of higher learning. Hal has also provided a Mortgage Fraud Seminar for members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of the Treasury, as well as various financial institutions.

Mr. London has taught numerous State of Illinois mandated appraisal classes since 1988. During this period he has instructed over 4,500 students. He has been an instructor at Northwestern University, Real Estate Education Company, Realtors Real Estate School, Solex College and Oakton College.
